Areas I Serve

Cuyahoga County Real Estate Agent | Keyano Burgess

Cuyahoga County is my home base. From my Lokal Real Estate office in Middleburg Heights, I help buyers and sellers across Cleveland and its suburbs — a county with the widest range of older and newer housing stock in Northeast Ohio, and point-of-sale inspections to plan for in many of its cities.

My home county

Cuyahoga County is where I work from. My Lokal Real Estate office sits in Middleburg Heights, on Pearl Road close to I-71, which puts me within a short drive of Cleveland and nearly every suburb in the county. When you call or text, you reach me directly — I'm the one walking the homes, writing the offers, and sitting with you at closing.

This is the largest of the three counties I serve, and it has the widest range of housing stock. You'll find lakeside city neighborhoods near Lake Erie, established residential streets in the suburbs, mid-century ranches, colonials, bungalows, and new-construction subdivisions. That variety means every buyer and seller here needs a slightly different plan, and I build that plan around your home and your goals.

Point-of-sale inspections in many cities

One thing that's specific to Cuyahoga County: many of its cities require a point-of-sale inspection before a home transfers. The rules vary by city — what's required in one community may not apply in the next one over — so I never assume. I confirm the requirement for each specific home and build it into our timeline.

If you're selling, I check your city's requirement early so we can schedule the inspection, handle any items it flags, and avoid a last-minute scramble before closing. If you're buying, I make sure the inspection status is part of our due diligence so you know what the city requires and whether it's been satisfied.

Older and newer housing stock

Because Cuyahoga County spans older Cleveland neighborhoods and newer suburban subdivisions, the disclosures matter. Ohio sellers generally provide the Ohio Residential Property Disclosure Form, and homes built before 1978 come with a federal lead-based paint disclosure. I make sure both are handled correctly on any home we consider.

For older homes, I pay close attention to inspections — the roof, the foundation, the mechanical systems. For newer construction, the focus shifts to warranties, builder paperwork, and any unfinished items. Either way, you get the same personal attention from one agent who knows the county.

Buying and selling across the county

I work with buyers and sellers across Cuyahoga County — first-time and FHA buyers, veterans using VA loans, luxury homes, investment properties, and land. Since August 2024, Ohio buyers sign a written buyer agreement before touring homes with an agent, and I walk you through it before we see a single property.

For out-of-state buyers, I walk each property in person and send a video, photos, and comparable sales so you can analyze it without being physically present. I keep a network of lenders and contractors ready so nothing stalls your move. When you're ready to talk it through, call or text me any time.

Yes. I work Cleveland and its suburbs across Cuyahoga County — from lakeside city neighborhoods to established residential streets. I handle the whole process personally, including video walkthroughs if you're out of state.

A wide range — colonials, bungalows, mid-century ranches, and new-construction subdivisions. Because the housing stock spans older and newer homes, the Ohio Residential Property Disclosure Form and the lead-based paint disclosure for pre-1978 homes both come into play, and I handle both.
